Welcome to our
Sleep well again after our diagnosis and therapy for snoring.
Snoring is not only annoying to other ‘listeners’, it can affect several muscular structures and even lead to what is known as sleep apnoea. This term is used when breathing is interrupted while sleeping. These interruptions are dangerous as they can last for as long as 1.5 - 2 minutes.
During these phases the brain suffers from a lack of oxygen, which can result in abnormal fatigue and poor productivity in the mornings.
An anti-snoring mouthpiece can provide relief. If sleep apnoea is suspected, an examination in a sleep laboratory should take place and an individual therapy developed.
These services are not generally covered by health insurance but costs may be covered upon diagnosis by a medical practitioner (ENT-doctor).
